A major freeway transition in the San Fernando Valley is scheduled to close Sunday morning, according to the Caltrans website.

From 5:30 to 11 a.m., travelers headed south on the 405 Freeway will be unable to exit directly onto the 101 Freeway.

Connectors in both directions will be closed for construction, and motorists will be forced to take a detour via surface streets.
