2 killed in East Los Angeles freeway crash
Two men were killed early Tuesday morning when their car crashed on the westbound 10 Freeway in East Los Angeles, officials said.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. near the southbound connector with the 710 Freeway. No other vehicles were involved, said California Highway Patrol spokesman Patrick Kimball.
Both men killed were approximately 25 years old, he said.
"[The incident is] still under investigation, but it was a combination of speed and possibly alcohol involved in this collision," CHP Sgt. Bill Preciado told KTLA.
No other details were immediately available, officials said.
The CHP blocked off the road near the scene until about 5 a.m.
