Street closures Sunday as West Hollywood hosts L.A. Pride Parade

The 42nd L.A. Pride Parade that celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities will be held Sunday in West Hollywood, prompting street closures along the route.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Crescent Heights Boulevard and continue west along Santa Monica Boulevard to Robertson Boulevard. About 400,000 people are expected to attend.

Closed for the event will be Santa Monica Boulevard from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive; Crescent Heights Boulevard from Romaine Street to Fountain Avenue; and streets one block north and south of Santa Monica from Fairfax  to La Peer Drive.

The streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Suggested parking areas are east of Fairfax, the Pacific Design Center, the Kings Road parking structure and the Beverly Center. The need for parking permits in West Hollywood will be waived through 7 a.m. Monday.
