Rialto man stabbed to death during argument with estranged wife

Tomlinson_ThompsonA Rialto man who was arguing with his estranged wife in front of her house in San Bernardino was stabbed to death by a man who was with the woman, police said Wednesday.

Clemonsey Thompson, 52, was stabbed in the chest around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday on the 3000 block of North Mojave Court. He was taken to Loma Linda Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to a statement from the San Bernardino Police Department, Thompson’s wife had a restraining order prohibiting him from having any contact with her.

Thompson allegedly confronted and began arguing with the woman, who was not identified by police, and the suspect, John Barrymore Tomlinson II of Long Beach. During the argument, Tomlinson stabbed Thompson, police said.

Tomlinson, 55, was arrested on suspicion of murder and was taken into custody at the scene.
