PCH in Santa Monica reopens after multi-vehicle crash

Map shows area affected by vehicle crash on PCH in Santa Monica.
Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica re-opened Wednesday night after a multi-vehicle crash forced officials to shut down lanes in both directions and sent at least one person to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The highway was reopened around 10:30 p.m after being closed near the California incline for about three hours, the Santa Monica Police Department said.

The closure also affected westbound traffic on the 10 Freeway, which had been diverted to 4th Street in Santa Monica. The freeway was also reopened to PCH, police said.
