15 alleged Pasadena-area Bloods gang members arrested
A San Gabriel Valley gang task force on Friday arrested 15 members of a Bloods gang alleged to have sold drugs in the Pasadena area.
Eight alleged members of the Denver Lane Bloods were arrested on federal narcotics charges; another seven were booked on suspicion of violating California narcotics and weapons statutes.
During the arrests, officers from the San Gabriel Valley Safe Streets Task Force seized $40,000 in cash, five kilograms of cocaine and more than two kilos of crack cocaine, according to a task force statement.
The federal defendants detained were: Jesse Vargas, 34, of El Monte; Jesus Campos, 43, of La Puente; Monte "Godfather" Russell, 35, of Pomona and Pasadena; Dayna Guyton, 29, of Pasadena; Myoshi Smith, 23, of Bellflower; Lyonel Washington, 33, of Altadena; Keno Monteze Norris, 33, of Pasadena; and John Eugene Brown, 48, of Pasadena.
The specific charges were not immediately available.
