Oxnard high school teacher accused of 'sexting' student

Vanessa Tsakrios was held in sexting caseAn Oxnard high school teacher was arrested on suspicion of "sexting" with a 17-year-old boy at school, police said Thursday afternoon.

Vanessa Tsakrios, 24, also is accused of using text messages to exchange inappropriate photos with the student at Pacifica High School, according to the Oxnard Police Department.

Officers responded to the school Wednesday after receiving a report that a substitute teacher had been involved in improper conduct with the boy.

Tsakrios, a Camarillo resident, was arrested in Westlake Village Wednesday evening, police said. 

She was being held Thursday at Ventura County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
