Man, two children found dead in National City motel

Police in National City are investigating an apparent murder-suicide of an adult male and two children, officials said Tuesday.

Police found a 16-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl dead of gunshots in a motel in this blue-collar suburb south of San Diego. Also found was the body of an adult male, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

"There are no other suspects," officials said.

Police had gone to the Paradise Motel after receiving a call asking them to check on the welfare of the man and the children.
