BMW driver in high-speed CHP pursuit arrested in North Hollywood
A man in a BMW led authorities on a chase at speeds approaching 100 mph across Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valley freeways before being arrested in North Hollywood.
The chase began shortly after 2:20 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near the Vista Del Lago exit. The suspect, who was not immediately identified, refused to pull over after an officer spotted him speeding.
Officers joined the chase, which sped along I-5 and on to the southbound 170 Freeway. The suspect exited onto Magnolia Boulevard and then pulled into a nearby driveway before jumping out of the car and running, the CHP said.
The man was taken into custody without incident about a block from where the pursuit ended.
