L.A. Now Live: Proposition 8 likely headed to Supreme Court

June 5, 2012 | 11:30 am

Join reporter Maura Dolan and City Editor Shelby Grad for a live discussion about Proposition 8.

Dolan will be available to take your questions at noon Tuesday.

She will report on the latest developments, including the decision by the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to reject an appeal of February's ruling that overturned Proposition 8. That ruling is likely to send the debate over same-sex marriage to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Proposition 8, passed by California voters in November 2008, reinstated a ban on same-sex nuptials six months after the state Supreme Court had struck it down on state constitutional grounds. The ballot measure amended the state constitution.
