Stanley Cup waiting for L.A. Kings at Hollywood sign?

The Los Angeles Kings could take home their first Stanley Cup tonight if they sweep the New Jersey Devils, but it seems as if the cup has already made itself comfortable in L.A.

A giant Stanley Cup seems to have appeared next to the "D" in the Hollywood sign Friday. Fans have been posting videos of the sparkling fixture, for which no one has claimed credit.

Even the Kings seem to be puzzled by the mysterious trophy.

"Woah ... If anyone knows anything about how this giant Cup made it to the Hollywood sign, let us know," the team tweeted from its official account.

The Kings play the Devils in Game 4 at 5 p.m. at the Staples Center and have a commanding 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. Los Angeles may not be known as a hockey town, but hockey fever has definitely hit.

If you've seen the giant cup or know who put it there, tweet us photos or tips @LANOW.
