L.A. Pride Parade in West Hollywood brings road closures to area
The annual L.A. Pride Parade in West Hollywood today is going to cause several road closures.
The parade, celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities, is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Crescent Heights Boulevard and continue west along Santa Monica Boulevard to Robertson Boulevard. About 400,000 people are expected to attend.
Streets closed for the event include: Santa Monica Boulevard from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive; Crescent Heights Boulevard from Romaine Street to Fountain Avenue; and streets one block north and south of Santa Monica from Fairfax to La Peer Drive.
The streets will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Suggested parking areas are east of Fairfax, the Pacific Design Center, the Kings Road parking structure and the Beverly Center. The need for parking permits in West Hollywood will be waived through 7 a.m. Monday.
