Crime alerts for Hollywood, Fairfax and 14 other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 16 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times' Crime L.A. database.
Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Hollywood (A) was the most unusual, recording 30 reports compared with a weekly average of 12.5 over the last three months.
Fairfax (H) topped the list of nine neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 22 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 14.1 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for June 14–June 20, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
