Crime alerts for Silver Lake, 17 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 18 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Thirteen neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Silver Lake (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 0.8 over the last three months.

Atwater Village (N) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded nine property crimes compared with its weekly average of 4.8 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for June 9–June 15, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
