Crime alerts for Silver Lake and 13 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 14 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

 Twelve neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Silver Lake (A) was the most unusual, recording six reports compared with a weekly average of 0.8 over the last three months.

Pacific Palisades (M) topped the list of two neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 15 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 5.8 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for June 6–June 12, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
