Woman's suicide now being investigated as homicide

A woman’s reported suicide in Hermosa Beach was being investigated Wednesday as a possible homicide, officials said.

Homicide investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department were questioning the husband about the incident, the Daily Breeze reported.

The victim’s husband told police that his wife committed suicide late Tuesday in their home in the 600 block of Eighth Street, Hermosa Beach police Sgt. Bob Higgins told the Daily Breeze newspaper.

The 43-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the head and later died.
