A man and woman were found shot to death at the Beverly Hilton Hotel late Friday night in what appeared to be a murder-suicide, Beverly Hills police reported.

Lt. Mark Rosen, a department spokesman, said Saturday that the shooting occurred about 10:50 p.m. on the grounds of the famed luxury hotel at 9876 Wilshire Blvd. Police did not provide ages of the victims but described them as elderly.

The names of both people will be released after their relatives are notified. Police were continuing their investigation Saturday. No other details were available.

The hotel is hosting the Daytime Emmy Awards on Saturday.
