Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Willits
A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Monday morning four miles from Willits, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:24 a.m. PDT at a depth of 3.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 17 miles from Laytonville, 20 miles from Lake Pillsbury, 22 miles from Ukiah and 117 miles from Sacramento.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
