Camp Pendleton neighbors should expect booming sounds this weekend
Neighbors of Camp Pendleton should expect added noise this weekend as Marine tank units conduct live-fire exercises from 6 a.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday.

Depending on cloud cover, the explosions from the M1A1 Abrams tanks could be heard as far as 50 miles from the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas on the sprawling base.
