Brush fire in Riverside County burns 150 acres

A brush fire that broke out in southern Riverside County on Friday has burned 150 acres and consumed a double-wide mobile home but was expected to be fully contained by 6 a.m. Saturday, fire officials said. 

Authorities were still trying to determine what caused the blaze in Anza, which was first reported about  12:40 p.m. Friday. Flames from a wooden storage shed spread to nearby vegetation, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. 

The fire destroyed the shed and the unoccupied mobile home but caused no injuries. No evacuations were ordered. 

Nearly 250 firefighters and 25 fire engines were battling the flames.
