Bouncer dies after fight at Redondo Beach bar

A bouncer at a Redondo Beach bar was killed early Saturday after a fight with two men, police said.

Two men attempted to enter Pat’s II Cocktail Lounge in the 1300 block of South Pacific Coast Highway about 1:45 a.m., after last call, said Sgt. Fabian Saucedo of the Redondo Beach Police Department.

When the bouncer attempted to escort the two men out of the bar, a fight ensued. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The name of the bouncer has not been released.

After the fight, the two men fled in a vehicle. The vehicle has since been found, but the men have not been located, Saucedo said.
