Small plane crashes in Glendale neighborhood

A small plane crashed Monday evening in a residential area of Glendale, police said.

The Cessna crashed in the 1200 block of Glenwood Road, Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department told The Times. News footage on KCAL-TV Channel 9 showed the crumpled plane in the frontyard of a home.

Lorenz said he had no immediate details on whether anyone was hurt. The plane apparently hit power lines and caused a blackout in the area.
