Information sought in attempted sex assault of 16-year-old girl

Authorities in Riverside County on Monday were seeking information in the recent attempted sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl. Juan Pablo Gonzalez

Juan Pablo Gonzalez, 30, allegedly broke into a San Jacinto home on April 28 and tried to attack the girl, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

The attacker fled after the girl fought back, authorities said.

Officers swooped down on Gonzalez's home Friday to serve an arrest warrant. He allegedly tried to fight the officers and one of them fired a Taser device at him, according to the Sheriff's Department.

He was treated for minor injuries and was being held on $1-million bail.
