Two killed in shooting near San Bernardino community center
San Bernardino police continued to investigate Monday the shooting outside a community center that left two dead and two injured.
Authorities say the Sunday shooting stemmed from an argument involving the deceased victims.
Ramiro Aguilar, 35, of San Bernardino, and Corey Broussard, 31, of Victorville, were pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say it was unclear who shot them.
Lt. Paul Williams said he could not comment on details of the investigation and could not say if the deceased victims were the suspects.
But “If there was a public-safety issue, a double-murderer running around, we would have been the first to report it," he said.
Watani Richardson, 20, was at Community Hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot that police believe was related to the shooting. They say Villalobos and Richardson were “unintended victims” of the incident.
Police say a handgun believed to be connected to the shooting was recovered near the scene.
