Pedestrian killed on 10 Freeway in apparent hit-and-run

A 49-year-old San Diego man was struck and killed on the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles in what authorities are investigating as a hit-and-run.

The California Highway Patrol received a call about 8 p.m. of a pedestrian in the center divider of the eastbound 10 Freeway at Soto Street in Boyle Heights.

When officers arrived, they found the man’s body lying on the roadway and determined he had been struck and killed by a vehicle.

The victim’s name has not been released.
