O.C. woman accused of having sex with teenage boy

Mayra GonzalezA Santa Ana woman is scheduled to be arraigned Friday on charges of having sex with a teenage boy.

Mayra Gonzalez, 32, is accused of having sex with the boy on six occasions from July 1, 2011, to Dec. 24, 2011, the Orange County district attorney's office said. The teen was a friend of a Gonzalez relative.

[Updated 10:11 p.m., May 10: Investigators suspect that Gonzalez gave birth to the teen's baby, said Cpl. Anthony Bertagna of the Santa Ana Police Department.]

Gonzalez is charged with six felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16 and two felony counts of oral copulation of a minor under 18.

If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of seven years and eight months in state prison and possible lifetime sex-offender registration. She was being held on $20,000 bail.

Arraignment is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Central Jail in Santa Ana.
