Nick Stahl, who'd been missing, says he's going to rehab

The wife of actor Nick Stahl wrote a blog post in which she shared her anguish over her husband's disappearance and his drug problems.

The actor, who played John Connor in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," had been missing for more than a week and was the subject of a Los Angeles Police Department search around skid row.

On Saturday, he reached out to friends and said he was going to enter rehab.

Wife Rose Murphy Stahl said in her post that the disappearance left her shaken.

"Though I cannot stand any and every minute of this, I have to find a silver lining, and just maybe, someone else suffering will be able to think, or understand that this is not in every case a moral issue," she wrote. "That addiction does not care who you are, how talented, how famous. How good. And most importantly, that there is a solution. And it's simple. Almost too simple."

"Sometimes a tormented soul such as Nick's, at times myself included, cannot grasp that the solution is so basic," she added.

LAPD officers have been carrying a photo of the actor during their beat work in downtown L.A., hoping to find him on the street. His family said he'd been frequenting skid row of late.

On Saturday, Rose Stahl told People magazine she hoped her husband would get help but wasn't sure whether he would.

"I'm relieved," she told the magazine. "But I'm also skeptical that he's really in rehab."
