Nick Stahl: Missing actor tells friends he's alive, entering rehab

Nick Stahl, who'd been missing, says he's going to rehab
Nick Stahl, the actor who played John Connor in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" and has been missing for more than a week, has made contact with friends to say he's alive, his wife said.

LAPD officers have been carrying a photo of the actor during their beat work in downtown L.A., hoping to find him on the street. His family said he'd been frequenting skid row of late.

Stahl's wife, Rose Murphy, reported him missing shortly after 10 a.m. Monday to Hollywood Division officers. She said the last time she'd seen him was May 9.

But on Saturday, she told People magazine that the actor had contacted friends and told them he was fine and going into rehab.

"I'm relieved," she told the magazine. "But I'm also skeptical that he's really in rehab."
