20th Century Fox studio executive reported missing

Gavin SmithThe Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an executive with 20th Century Fox who has been missing since Tuesday.

Gavin Smith, 57, of Oak Park was last seen at his residence in the 500 block of Callwood Court between 9 and 10 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Smith has worked in the studio's movie distribution department for nearly 18 years.

He is described as 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds. He has gray hair streaked with blond, and a goatee. He drives a black 2000 Mercedes 420 E with California license plate number 6EKT044.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. T. Abraham or Det. C. Carns at the sheriff’s Homicide Bureau, (323) 890-5500.
