L.A. Now Live: Discuss the solar eclipse, bizarre burning rocks
Times reporters Ron Lin and Rick Rojas will join City Editor Shelby Grad for a discussion about two unusual events: the 'ring of fire' solar eclipse that will occur this weekend for the first time in California since 1992 and the case of the rocks that inexplicably caught fire and burned a woman in Orange County.
The chat is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, and questions can be submitted live during the discussion.
Lin will have viewing tips and all the details about where and when to see the eclipse.
And Rojas will have the latest on the strange story about a San Clemente woman who picked up some rocks at the beach and put them in the pocket of her cargo shorts -- only to have them mysteriously erupt in flame. The woman suffered third-degree burns, and further tests of the rocks are planned.
