Crime alerts for Leimert Park, West Adams and other L.A. areas
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 14 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of Los Angeles Police Department data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Ten neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Leimert Park (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 1.5 over the last three months.
West Adams (D) topped the list of five neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 15 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 7.2 over the last three months.
West Adams triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 24–April 30, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
