Girl, 6, drowns at La Cañada Flintridge home

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating the apparent drowning death of a 6-year-old girl at a La Cañada Flintridge home.

Authorities were called to the home in the 4900 block of Indianola Way about 7:20 p.m. Monday.  The child was taken to a local hospital, where  she was pronounced dead.

Sheriff's detectives went to the home to begin their investigation, which is routine in such circumstances. Anyone with information about the death is asked to contact detectives at (323) 890-5500.
