Residents in Studio City are bracing for an invasion of celebrities and traffic when President Obama holds a fundraiser at George Clooney's home Thursday night.

“Oh man, that’s going to cause a lot of traffic,” resident Sonia Poole told KTLA News. “We don’t like that.”

Clooney neighbor Fiona Hutton told KNBC-TV that she told her children that the president "was coming to your street. You are not going to be able to say that again in your lifetime."

Although details of his route have not been released for security reasons, officials said he will fly into LAX and then be taken by helicopter before driving to Clooney's Studio City residence. Obama's dinner fundraiser is expected to gross $15 million for the president's reelection campaign, according to organizers.

Los Angeles City Councilman Paul Krekorian released the following details about potential traffic tie-ups:

"For security reasons, the White House does not disclose exact details about the president's route, but here's what we do know: The president will be landing at LAX around 6 p.m. and will be transported, via helicopter and motorcade, to George Clooney's home, where the fundraiser will be held," he wrote.

He added that while neither Laurel Canyon nor Ventura boulevards are expected to be fully shut down, there will probably be delays. Other roads in the area might be closed, notably those around Fryman Canyon.

"For those driving on Laurel Canyon Boulevard and connecting streets north of Ventura Boulevard, please expect delays and/or road closures from about 5 to 8 p.m. If you live south of Ventura in Studio City, the LAPD has advised us that local access to the area will be virtually sealed off from about 8 to 10 p.m., meaning all local residents will need to show a current photo ID for home access," he wrote in the letter.

After the event, Obama will be spending the night in Beverly Hills.
