17 arrested for DUI in Glendale over Memorial Day weekend

Seventeen people were arrested in Glendale over the Memorial Day weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said Tuesday.

Seven of the motorists were arrested Saturday during a saturation patrol, according to Glendale police. Ten vehicles were impounded during the operation.

Another 10 motorists were arrested Friday on suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint on Brand Boulevard and Vassar Street. During the checkpoint, 16 motorists were arrested on suspicion of various driver’s license violations and 18 vehicles were impounded.
