Car into building

A girl suffered minor injuries Wednesday morning after a car crashed through the wall of her Chinatown apartment as she slept.

The small sedan went partially through the apartment in the 700 block of North Bunker Hill Avenue about 6:30 a.m. The girl was sleeping in a bed near the wall that was hit, officials said.

The impact was strong enough to send the preteen girl to the hospital with minor injuries, said Brian Humphrey, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The driver of the car, an unidentified man, was not hurt.
