Body of man found bound and gagged inside liquor store refrigerator

A man found dead inside a liquor store refrigerator in Hawaiian Gardens on Monday night was bound and gagged, authorities said.

Investigators said a man came into the Beer & Wine Market in the 12300 block of Carson Street about 4:45 p.m. and found the front door open and the lights turned off, KTLA reported. He called 911 after finding the doors to the refrigerator open.

Authorities said they found the victim inside. His name has not been released.

Residents said the liquor store was open sporadically and that the previous owner had been killed inside 10 years ago.
