Paramount shooting victim identified

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting in Paramount on Friday.

Cristian Luna, 24, was found shortly after 2 a.m. lying on the sidewalk in the 6400 block of San Luis Street with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies, responding to a 911 call, found the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lt. Larry Dietz of the county coroner's office.

Sheriff's homicide detectives are handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the (323) 890-5500. Those wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
