Man accused of spray-painting dog, dousing others with chemicals

April 18, 2012 |  7:35 am

A Sacramento-area man was arrested for allegedly spray painting one dog in the face, and pouring household chemicals on two other dogs.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, a family member reported that Denis Vorobyov was allegedly abusing the family pets.  He also faces charges for drug possession, and making threats against his father.

FOX 40 News visited the home and saw the spray-painted dog, a male boxer, which still had some red paint on its head.

A spokesman for the Sacramento County animal shelter said the animals were allowed to stay at the home following Vorobyov's arrest because the remaining family members are able to care for them.
