LAPD chases man in tow truck through Hollywood

Two truck pursuit

Los Angeles police were chasing a AAA tow truck in a pursuit that was working its way through Hollywood on Tuesday afternoon.

TV footage from KTLA News showed a slow-speed pursuit along Hollywood Boulevard in sometimes stop-and-go traffic.

The pursuit began after someone in the truck got into an altercation with Los Angeles police officers in Van Nuys, Lt. Andrew Neiman told The Times. The truck had responded to an accident in Van Nuys when the dispute occurred.

The truck's driver then jumped in the truck and drove away, Neiman added.

The truck is registered to a firm in Lake Forest.
