Lancaster strip-club guard fatally shoots man

Lancaster strip club shooting
A customer carrying a shotgun was shot to death by a security guard outside a Lancaster strip club, sheriff's investigators said Monday.

The 35-year-old man was killed around 11 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Snooky’s, an adult club in the 42600 block of Sierra Highway, according to officials with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

The victim appeared to have been a patron at the club, said Sgt. Robert Rush of the sheriff’s Lancaster station.

Earlier in the night, he and another man were asked by security guards to leave the location. The man later returned with the shotgun and pointed it at a security guard, who fired multiple rounds, according to sheriff’s authorities.

The man was struck in the upper body and pronounced dead at the scene. The guard was detained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The victim's identity was not immediately released.
