Man shot, killed in car in Lancaster
A man sitting in a car in a residential neighborhood of Lancaster was shot to death early Saturday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
Homcide detectives are investigating the shooting in the 700 block of West Avenue H7 in Lancaster, Deputy Guillermina Saldana said.
The victim was sitting in the driver's seat of a parked car in front of a house at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, when several men walked up to the car. One "fired several rounds," Saldana said, and the victim was "fatally shot in the upper torso."
He was pronounced dead at a hospital. No one else was in the vehicle.
