Crime alerts for Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, 11 other neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 12 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw (A) was the most unusual, recording 12 reports compared with a weekly average of 5.0 over the last three months.

Pacoima (H) topped the list of six neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 35 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 21.8 over the last three months.

One neighborhood triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 19–April 25, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
