Crime alerts for Sherman Oaks and nine other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 10 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Harbor Gateway (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 1.9 over the last three months.

Sherman Oaks (H) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 45 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 33.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 11 to April 17, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
