FBI joins hunt for Orange County woman missing in Panama

Yvonne BaldelliThe FBI has joined the investigation into the disappearance of an Orange County woman who has been missing for five months after moving to Panama.

Yvonne Baldelli, 42, was last seen on Carenero island in the Bocas del Toro archipelago in Panama on Nov. 26 of last year, according to a Facebook page set up by her family.

Baldelli and boyfriend Brian Brimager moved to Panama together last September and struggled with a difficult relationship, according to Panamanian authorities.

The couple broke up and Brimager returned to California, where he married another woman.

Baldelli, who'd lived in Laguna Niguel before moving to Panama, traveled to Carenero island with plans to open a store that would sell clothing to tourists, according to Panama's La Prensa newspaper.
