Amanda Bynes arrested on suspicion of DUI after sheriff car hit
Actress Amanda Bynes was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence after her black BMW struck a Los Angeles County sheriff’s cruiser in West Hollywood.
Authorities say Bynes, 26, was arrested around 3 a.m. near the corner of Robertson and Santa Monica boulevards and taken into custody by deputies after her car hit the rear corner of the sheriff’s cruiser.
The former Nickelodeon star was in custody Friday at the sheriff’s West Hollywood station on $5,000 bail. Officials did not specify what her blood alcohol level was.
Bynes, who quickly rose to fame as a comical star in the Nickelodeon show "All That," later starred in movies, including the film adaptation of the musical “Hairspray.”
