Woman accused of throwing powder on Kim Kardashian

Kim KardashianA non-criminal battery report was taken Thursday evening after a woman allegedly threw powder on Kim Kardashian in the lobby of a West Hollywood hotel, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a statement.

Deputies from the West Hollywood Station responded to a possible battery call shortly before 8 p.m. at a hotel in the 1000 block of North San Vicente Boulevard, where Kardashian was hosting an event.

Upon arrival, deputies were informed that Kardashian had been standing in the hotel lobby when a woman allegedly threw powder on her. The woman was detained by hotel security, authorities said, and paramedics were summoned to the scene.

Kardashian refused medical attention and said she did not want to press charges. She returned to her room, removed the powder from her hair and clothing, and returned to the event, according to the statement.

The woman, who was not identified, was later released at the scene.
