Three victims from capsized boat off Santa Cruz Island identified

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department has identified three men whose bodies were recovered after their boat capsized near Santa Cruz Island, while divers continued searching for a fourth man.

The men are Sieng Sophorn Bun, 37, of Oxnard, Edgar Allen Isnecc, 54, of Port Hueneme and Ramiro Alvarez Duarte, 52, of Oxnard. Their 24-foot recreational boat was reported missing Sunday morning and located at about 1 p.m.

Divers from the sheriff’s department resumed their search for the fourth man Monday morning and planned to continue until the sun went down.

Authorities from the sheriff's department and the U.S. Coast Guard were investigating why the boat capsized. The coroner has not yet determined the cause of death.
