March 22, 2012 |  7:58 pm

RiversidePolice on Thursday were looking for three suspects in an attempted kidnapping a day earlier in the area of Phoenix Avenue and Ensenada Way in Riverside.

About 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, a 15-year-old girl was walking to school when a navy blue van pulled up and blocked her path, officials said in a statement. Two males jumped out and pulled her into the van.

The girl fought back and escaped. She last saw the suspects, all three of whom were described as males in their 30s, driving north on Phoenix Avenue.

The suspects spoke both English and Spanish. One suspect was described as about 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a scar from his lower lip to the left of his chin. The vehicle was an older full-size van, with tinted windows on the back doors and no side windows or doors.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Riverside Police Det. Rita Cobb at (951) 353-7120.
