Swastikas scrawled in Sherman Oaks neighborhood

Residents of a Sherman Oaks neighborhood found swastikas scrawled on properties Wednesday.

KTLA reports at least three homes in a historically Jewish neighborhood on Leghorn Avenue were vandalized with the symbols.

Los Angeles police officials said they were called about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with a report about a swastika on a mailbox in the 5200 block of Leghorn Avenue. They are investigating the incident as vandalism and a possible hate crime, officers said.
