Skydiver in critical condition after jump accident

A 36-year-old skydiver was in critical condition after a jump at Skydive Elsinore, a Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman said Friday afternoon.

An ambulance crew managed to restore the man's pulse and he was breathing slowly by the time he arrived at Inland Valley Medical Center, said Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

"So it sounds good," she said.

The man's identity wasn't being released, Hendrickson said, nor did officials know the circumstances that led to his injury.
